Hot to trot
Happy birthday to the beautiful Jacqui, who we don’t celebrate enough on this blog. Here she is in the salon ❤️ looking as beautiful as ever!
One minute hot, then it’s not. We’re having a proper English summer lovelies! In two shakes of Archie’s tail ? (beautified most recently with some Kevin.Murphy shampoo – because what’s good for man is good for mane-kind, right?) there’s going to be a whole lot more frizz around now the mercury is finally rising.
Humidity is obvs the enemy of great hair everywhere, so in an effort to beat the heat, we thought we’d put together some of our top tips on how to fight frizz.
1. Start early
No, we don’t mean at 5am, we mean with your shampoo – upping the ante on frizz means catching it quick – before it takes root and does its crazy. Smooth.Again wash and rinse (shampoo and conditioner to the rest of us) is going to go that extra swishy mile, for hair that feels so shiny you can even skip the blow dry.
2. Nourish, nourish, nourish
You want a product that’s going to nourish without weighing everything down too much. So less oils and serum the better, Smooth.Again leave in creme completes the triumvirate and gives your hair the nourishment it needs to carry on fighting the frizz.
3. Curly hair, not fair
Actually, curlies, you’re in luck – Killer.Curls is another one of the salon’s leave-in faves, literally one scrunch and you’re done. It’s also got built-in heat protection too.
We’ve also been hearing about anti-frizz sheets, and because we’re selfless in our pursuit of style, (see Daniel’s exquis Burberry moment below), stay tuned as we road test them in the name of all that is beautiful and good, and we’ll let you know if it’s fad or fab.
The boys have been off to see actual sunshine, well jels, cute holiday snap here if you missed them on social.
Whilst we wait (impatiently) for the pitter patter of little tiny feet, we’d like to wish the lovely Amy the absolute best, waving her off with so much love for her maternity leave. ❤️?
And last, but by no means least, we’d like to extend a super fabulous WELCOMEto the gorgeously talented, ?MJ?, who is joining the L&W team ?♀️. A major player in L’Oreal’s artistic team before joining us, she’s worked her magic from Mumbai to Richmond, Barcelona to Covent Garden and she’ll be available in the salon Wednesdays and Fridays – we can’t wait to have her on board.?
