Taking Sides – to part or not to part

As you know we like to change our hairstyles. Often. Last week we talked about the side sweeping fringe, this week we’re taking it one step further – it’s all about the power of the parting.

Ever sat there in front of the mirror and tried to part your crowning glory in the opposite direction? You’ll know it totally changes you and your face shape – which means it’s great for a quick fixer upper to blow away the dull this February.

This spring the catwalks were totes in love with a super neat side parting – look at those lovelies at Marni – which for mere mortals like you and I means one thing: product.

Thick hair or thin, you don’t want any flyaways people, so this is a really easy way to lick the trend. Take a fine toothed comb, your favourite Kevin.Murphy products (we like something that adds a bit of shine – see below), then slick, comb and flatten. You can spray with a bit of halrspray if you want, but make sure you don’t go overboard then get caught in a side wind, might give Donald Trump a run for his money on the, ahem, style stakes.
